Research Leader Petrology

Natural History Museum

• MAIN TASK: To undertake and lead research in an area of petrology clearly linked to international scientific priorities, and build a research team, funded by external grants,to develop this area of research. To seek to link this research to other areas of research in the Department and, if appropriate within the Museum
• SUBSIDARY TASK: To collaborate with the Department’s Curation team to help them develop the petrology collections as a research resource for the scientific community at large
• SUBSIDARY TASK: To collaborate with facilities staff in their development of analytical and imaging for petrology research

We are seeking two experienced sculpture conservators to work within our Sculpture Conservation team. You will hold a recognised qualification in Conservation with demonstrable practical experience.
